Our first taste of the dry, dusty American desert heat was Arches National Park. The drive through Utah was beautiful and up there with one of my favourite stretches of the road trip. We watched as the landscape and colours changed – blood red to deep beige and golden yellow – with the windows wound down completely as the temperature slowly crept up. Nothing could prepare us for our first glimpse of Arches though. It took us a good few moments to drink in the view, and we hadn’t even entered the park yet. It is impossible to comprehend the sheer magnitude and splendour of Arches until you see it for yourself. Here’s some snaps from our two day adventure here.
